Ferric Chloride

Ferric chloride is mostly used to treat wastewater and remove pollutants from water. It is used in water treatment for stifling odours. This product is said to be an iron salt which promotes coagulation. While its relative solubility and pH range varies greatly from those of alum, its coagulation reactions are comparable to those of alum. Inorganic polymeric coagulants can be produced using both alum and ferric chloride. It serves as a chlorinating agent for silver, copper, and some organic compounds as well as a precursor to many other ferric compounds. Can be redeemed in different sizes of packaging.
